I always want glass tanks as I started off on little ce4's and I was sure I could taste the plastic, so I've always searched out glass tanks. Of late I've a few high end atomisers that use pmma parts and not noticed a plasticy taste to my eliquid but I have cracked a few carto tanks in teh past forgetting about atomic liquids!

As for diacetyl I've always taken no notice as I'm sure the amount I vape is minuscule (plus I love creamy style eliquids) but thansk for links as I like to read up and try and know my facts for when non vapers start on about 'the dangers'

The diacetyl issue was debunked just about as fast as it came out, but hasn't stopped various antz still trotting out scare stories, which people believe for some reason. Recently a nurse saw me vaping and told me to go away as she didn't want to catch popcorn lung. As a health professional I would have expected better, but alas not so. I told her I was ashamed of her and as a supposed health professional should know better. She quietly moved away.

Popcorn lung is a slang name used for a condition called bronchiolitis obliterans (BO), or obliterative bronchiolitis. It’s caused when inhaled chemicals scar the smallest airways within the lungs (bronchioles) and reduce their capacity and efficiency. There is no cure for BO except a lung transplant.

Thanks for sharing bobby00 . . . . . personally I've never had any fear! Despite the scaremongering that's been done over the years in an effort to discredit our habit and which still periodically surfaces.

I don't think I could vape any of my juices if I didn't vape diacytyl.

Personally I wish they'd just put it in custards, but it's in so many flavours and a lot of them become custard over time. The blog is just that and has obvious mistakes - powdered diacetyl ??? It's about as much use as Daily Mail scare story.

Sorry but to me this looks and reads very much like how the tobacco industry debunked and slanted results.
It would be very sad if the e-liquid market was to take a leaf from the same book in order to suggest a chemical might have been unfairly singled out.

There is a general problem with public health types creating all sorts of scare stories (or bad journalists doing it for them), and how they do it is by:
a) misrepresenting the science
b) some of the science using false assumptions, statistical manipulation or badly designed experiments to confirm a bias.

The bias occurs because research with a scare factor, or with the chance of making someone richer, often gets more publicity and more funding (though this is simplification of a very complex picture)

Personally, I'm re-assured by the article on diactyl, but the jury will be out until someone does a proper, unbiased and long term study on the effects of vaping. Not really possible at the moment, it has not been around for long enough.

All we can say for sure at the moment is that the best quality evidence indicates that it is massively safer than smoking.

i much prefer my custards with diacetyl and am gutted its now gone from almost every juice.
it was total scaremongering at its best when the reports first came out about five pawns and suicide bunny back in the day.
since then there have been many tests and research but sadly once on the internet it stays on the internet and it gets brought up weekly on facebook by people that havnt got a clue and start the scaremongering again for all the new vapers out there that start panicking all over again.

all i will say is this pictures just shows how much is in vape compared to a cingle cigarette.
