Two months in and my white one has a couple of little chips and is a bit grubby.
Still looks brilliant though.

Let's face it, claiming that something which is secreted by the tobacco plant is not a tobacco product is pretty nonsensical. My feeling is that NRT products were classed as 'non tobacco products' to avoid large taxes which would have negated governments encouraging people to use them to try and quit.
I can't see any government having a similar relaxed view towards a product which, when all is said and done, mimics smoking, however effective in getting people away from smoking cigarettes it is.
Personally, I'm still so happy to not be smoking, that I wouldn't care if vaping cost me as much as smoking used to-which I don't for one second think it may one day. It WILL attract some taxation though, no doubt about it.

Tom we all went through it when the Penelopes first arrived. Have you seen Blakey's most excellent walkthrough thread here? Yep, but although very helpful,it didn't really answer the questions about sourcing wire and pre-made options.

Great-cheers for the link! Am I right in saying that the Penelope is unique in using NR and R wire then? Seems a bit odd that the prejoined stuff is so thin on the ground.

So, after wanting a Penny pretty much since starting vaping a couple of months ago, I am now the lucky owner of one thanks to working with a member of this fine forum (cheers JayJay). After having a love/hate relationship with Vivi Novas. I really like the Penny and the way it works consistently well right to the bottom of the tank. I have a few queries about rebuilding though and despite some thorough searching have been unable to answer a few basic questions, so here goes: 1. Jay supplied me with a couple of 'pre-joined'wires (the ones with dots) which I have succesfully used to rebuild a couple of times. I would really like to get some more of these, but for the life of me can't seem to find anywhere on line which sells them. 2. There is plenty of information about where to get certain types of wire (i.e Kanthal and Nickel (sp?), but the Penny uses both resistance and non-resistance wire does it not? I think Kanthal and Nickel are both one type only, i.e I would need some different wire to join onto them? Is it unique in this regard, as I can't find any threads either here or anywhere else telling me where to get both types- either pre-joined or not. 3. I would probably like to re-build every week,as although I know a coil should last a lot longer than that, I'm slightly alarmed at the black bits of crud which build up within a few days and would prefer not to be sucking on that sort of crap. Given that, are there any premade wick and coils avaiable a la Vivi Novas that can just be dropped into the Penny? I have found stuff like this www.thehouseofvapor.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Pre%2Dmade%2DCoils, but I suspect that it isn't compatible with the Penny, due to the resistance/non-resistance thing-am I right? Any pointers to make my life with a great bit of kit easier would be gratefully received. Cheers.

Just to jump on this thread, where is the best place to get pre-joined wire?

So, after 6 weeks vaping, I have concluded that I prefer the taste, draw and throat hit from a recently topped up cartomiser, but like the convenience and all day ability of a Vivi Nova.
I've just realised that there are systems that seem to offer the best of both words-such as The Wee Willie from Alba Vapours and wondered what peoples' experiences of tank cartomisers were?
I hate not knowing when a carto is going to need topping up, so only use them at home and take the Nova when out and about and at work, but the fact is that they(Novas) are very inconsistent in terms of taste and throat hit. A 'self topping up' carto sounds ideal, but I'm a bit cynical as to how they might work in practice.
Cheers for any advice

I've only been visiting this forum for a few weeks, but I'm pretty certain I have NEVER seen this term used to describe people- only cigarettes- which DO stink, no matter how freedom loving you are.
Sorry, but taking offence at this term seem over-sensitive to me.

Vapeescape goodies arrived, new Clearo heads and cherry juice. Juice ok but not making it onto my regulars list. More disappointingly no pen or trolley coin I didn't get a pen or trolly coin in my package today either Me either, thank God. The pen pot on our computer desk is overflowing with the buggers. Literally unbelievably quick service as usual from Vapeescape-ordered at 1pm yesterday, arrived 10am this morning. Top stuff!

Oh dear. Making vapeing look as glamorous as cigarette advertisers used to is just the sort of thing that will make governments want to ban it IMO.

Good report, although slightly bizarre that they didnt show an e-cig in action.
