You can't go wrong with an Riva / Ego battery kit. I still use my original Ego Battery's when I am out and about, even though I've got plenty of other kit. Getting the right flavour will be your problem, luckily most vendors do selection packs cheaply with little 5ml samplers. Everyone likes different e-juice, but there are a few that seem more popular so I would try these :- RY4 (A Kind of sweet tobbaco) Vanilla Custard (Possibly the most popular, and my only vape) Flue Cured Tobbaco Menthols / Fruits Or just go wild and order everything you can find - like I did  |

I had the same thing after a month or so and found it was the PG in the E-Juice. I can tolerate about 50/50 PG, VG but anymore and I have a sore throat by the end of the day.

I love it Perps, I don't vape anything else. I am thinking though that I should try something different, so I've also ordered some Dulche De Leche to try Skwoddy's Ambrosia recipe. Obviously this is basically another custard recipe  |

I just looked over at my PVC stash, and I am down to about 20ml !! That means I've managed to go through about 60ml since this thread started !!.
Off to order some more cappellas, and I'm going to have a go at the Ambrosia recipe this time too. It's also going in my Vodka and coke - that is a fantastic idea !

I started using Stardusts and I must say they really are good for beginners, there's really nothing to get wrong - no choices of resistance, nothing to assemble. Just stick it on the battery, fill it up and go. Vivi / Mini Nova's are great (and are what I now use), but as they have to be assembled there are a few things that can go wrong. The advantage is, they are cheaper (in the long run, as you can replace the heads) and are substantially stronger in construction. I was fine when I started, then just after the first week I started getting a sore throat, which no amount of fluids would help.
By trial and error, I found it was the PG content of the Juice. Generic chinese juice or if it's not marked will probably be 70% PG. I found I can take 50% PG but any more and I get a sore throat and a tickly cough.
Like you it was more annoying than painful, but after a week it became very tiresome.
I found it took at least a day fully on the new E-Juice mix before my throat cleared up.

This was a timely review. Ordered exactly the same model yesterday.
I am finding Vanilla Custard gunks up the heads of my vivi nova within a week, and nothing so far has cleaned them.
I have high hopes after watching this video !

I have a shed load of leaky CE4 clearo's, some just arrived like it, others have broken after a couple of weeks.
After inspecting them, most have cracked at the clear plastic. Almost always at the base.
Some have bent / misaligned centre post's causing juice to leak down into the battery.
Some have the rubber seal missing on the mouthpiece.
In addition, all of the clearo's I have (including Nova's, Kanger T3's and rebuildable CE5's) will eventually leak some juice into the mouthpiece if left upside down for too long.
Edit - I haven't managed to break any Vivi Nova's yet, despite much more use and abuse than the CE4's. They are well worth the extra money.

Nah, I say that, but all of us spent £100 or more in the first month. It's just impossible not to. It calms down a bit after that - so I have been told.
I have an app on my phone 'Time to quit smoke !' which tells me I have saved £719 so far ...

I go through 2-3 ml a day at 22mg, I smoked about 20 Marlboro Lights a day previously. 12mg is pretty low nicotine.
As the aim is not to give up nicotine, but to give up fags I would say
- If it makes you dizzy or sick, the nicotine level is too high
- If it doesn't stop the craving for a ciggy, the nicotine level is too low
I err on the high side myself - as I know I am weak.
