Hi Nursery Girl !
It's totally legal to vape anywhere and everywhere,
however ....
If you do not want the attention, you can 'stealth vape'
Just hold the vape in for 10 seconds or so - it will cool down to ambient temperature.
When you exhale there will be no vapour, as it will be at ambient temp.
In neither stealth or normal manner would it trigger smoke / fire alarms on planes hotels.

I have not got an Evod (in fact I don't even know what one is), but my attempts with re-coiling vivi nova heads were very much the same as your own.
This time I didn't even try it, just shelled out for another box of ready made heads.

It feels like Vaping in the UK has just hit the tipping point.
Just a few months ago I had never seen anyone out vaping. Last week I counted 8/20 people in the Smoking shelter were not actually smoking.
Even more encouraging was all the vapours were using proper kit (Ego's) so a lot will have made the switch permanently.
Someone opened up a stall in the market selling them, so thats probably a lot to do with it.

I just bought a new Mini Nova and the head design has changed.
The metal washer bit that fits on the head used to be flat on one side, and concave on the other.
On my new Mini Nova, it has a pointy top which extends out through a hole in the white rubber bung (like a CE4 does).
Not sure why this is, but on this new style mine also fills with vapour when I use it.
Edit :-
Hah, just noticed. The new drip tip has a rubber o-ring inside it (as well as the one on the outside).
Looks like the pointy bit extends up into the drip tip to make a seal. My centre post was however a bit crooked, and the pointy bit was jamming up against the inner rubber seal in the drip tip.
I hooked it out of the drip tip, then assembled the screw top collar to the drip tip, and carefully screwed the collar back down making sure the pointy bit engaged nicely into the drip tip.
It's much easier to draw on now, and the vapour doesn't end up 'blowing back' into the clearo.
I appreciate this is difficult to follow, so shall take some pic's tommorrow.

Bit of a blow Grant's mixing machine blowing up. I have some spare, however it is 22mg Nicotine, and 50/50 VG PG so may not be of use.
With the rebuild-able clearo leaking / not vaping much. Take it apart, and take the bit of rubber of the head (bit with the two wicks sticking out).
The head needs to be tightened down nicely (I use a pair of pliers, but don't use much force).
The breaking from overtightening happens from overtightening the clearo to the battery.

I was vaping my first PVC within the first 3 days to be honest, though now I always make sure to have at least 30ml steeping
I have some which has steeped for a week, so I just tried it on a drip tip. It tastes great to be honest.
Not quite as nice as my fully steeped stuff but lovely all the same.
I'd just give it a go if I were you.

Some juice gunks up my Vivi Nova's after a couple of days (I'm looking at you Custard Juice!)
I take it apart, clean it, dry burn about 10 times then finally rinse it again.
As long as the dry burning doesn't pop the coil, it'll make it as good as new again.

The atomiser is the thing at the top of your vivi nova that screws in and has two wicks hanging out of it. It heats the e-juice when a current is supplied to turn it into vapour you then inhale.
In the 'olden days' the atomiser screwed onto the battery, and a cartridge containing a filler (think cotton wool) soaked in e-juice slotted over the end. The filler contacted with the atomizer and juice gets gradually wicked up the filler as you use it.
This is pretty much(*) obsolete nowadays as the 'cartomiser' was introduced, which is just an atomiser and cartridge permanently connected together.
You're vivi nova is a Clearomiser (Clearo) which came later still. Because it's clear, you can tell how much juice you have left**. In addition, some people do not like the 'taste' of the filler material in cartos. The disadvantage's with clearo's are wicking issues and also leaking (through the mouthpiece, onto battery etc). Carto's don't leak, wick consistently and are not vulnerable to being oriented upside down / shaken.
* Atomisers are still used to 'drip' a couple of drops of ejuice on - mainly to sample new flavours, or by purists as this is the cleanest taste.
** In fact carto's can be modified so you can see the Juice level by using 'Tanks'. These are simple clear plastic tubes which go round the carto, which you then fill with juice - so they constantly refill the carto.
Ps, I use a Vivi Nova like yours, and I love it.

The EGO Battery won't be a wasted purchase, they are perfectly good and will fit all the stuff that comes with the Riva kit too.
I still use my original 650 Mah Ego for nights out down the pub.
