Hi Guys, and it is reassuring to know that others have the same warnings on their PG bottles. We know from published research that it is OK to inhale PG vapour. But in this age of Health and Safety, it is counterproductive to issue warnings about dangers that do not exist. It brings the whole idea of warning lablels into disrepute, a bit like the boy who cried "wolf". I was not looking forward to my wife dragging me outside to wash my nose and mouth out every time I vape.

I recently bought a litre of pharma grade PG from am ebay seller. I have not used it yet. The chemical formula given is C3H8O2. The thing that worries me is that it gives FIRST AID INFORMATION on the label. It says that if this substance is inhaled, the patient is to be moved out into the fresh air, and the nose and mouth washed out with water. It also says to avoid skin contact. I am worried about this. Has anyone else seen similar warnings on bottles of PG?

Dolly, we are all concerned about you, and hope that if the problem persists you will see your doctor. Personally, I would avoid the GVC for a couple of weeks, and use something else. If the problem goes away, try GVC in moderation. If the problem returns, stay away from GVC forever.

There are several things to consider. The alleged low yield of tar and nicotine from Silk Cut is achieved by having tiny air holes around the filter. Smokers often get round this either consciously or subconsciously, by putting the cig further into the mouth, and covering the holes with the lips. So you may have been getting more nic than you suspect. Smoking is much more efficient at getting nic into the blood than vaping, so it is highly unlikely that your blood nic level is as high now as when you were a smoker. Efficient vaping needs a slightly different technique than smoking, as the nic is absorbed mainly by the nose and mouth rather than the lungs. In a week or two, your technique will improve, and you will probably tend to vape less.
Meanwhile, do not worry about the amount of juice you use, it will come right. You could even try a small sample of say 18mg /ml juice, which will probably cause you to vape less often . It is early days yet, so do not be in any hurry to cut down. Good luck and welcome to vaping.

Hi Kaley, and welcome. I have been vaping since the 28th December last year. Once you have bought gear that suits you, you should be able to vape for less than £5 a week. For quality juice, try misteliquid.co.uk . 100 ml of juice for about£17 including shipping. That lasts me over two months. So that is less than the cost of ONE PACK of cigarettes a week. Good luvk on your vaping journey.
