This is the third Vamo Box mod I have made, but I have changed the methodology from the previous ones. Where before I "built" a box, this one is machined from a single piece of African Hardwood. Vamo V2 board, single 18650 battery, Stainless 510 connector, waxed finish, side cheek held with 4 x 3mm magnets and is rock solid. Looking for some really interesting hardwood for the next one, (which I plan to keep for myself).

A lot of NR/Res pre mades are .25 on the No res sections. Easier to weld and less resistance. (Even No res has a little resistance) I think Grey Haze use .2 or .22 on the no res.

Now Sold, thanks for looking. For sale: Stainless Vamo V3. Little used. Very clean, no dinks or scratches. Stainless V3 with polished top and bottom caps. I have also drilled the top cap through the dimples to allow airflow if flush mounting. Not used much as I bought it as a backup. Not really needed now so has to go. Normal RRP (discounted) around £35, asking £25 including delivery.

My own preference for the Kanger range is 2.5mm silica. No need for flavour wicks as it sits perfectly in the slots in the head. No leaks, gurgles etc. I would also recommend pre made res/no res wires as you wont burn the silicon seal. (that's how Mr Kanger does them if you check one out)

It's good to coil. Could be the start of your RBA journey. It was for me.
Well done.

Big companies would not like the speed at which the industry runs. Vamo2 to Vamo5 in 7 months? I think not. Big companies want to mass produce a small range, disposable, low cost, low investment, low R&D product and sell millions of them every week. Oh yeah, a bit like that in 4 flavours.

Usually mix at around 80% VG. I always buy my Nic base as VG undiluted with water. i.e., not aqueous VG. I then dilute it by 15% with 7.5% Vodka & 7.5% Deionised/distilled water. The PG comes from the flavouring and the balance PG. (if the flavour is PG based)
I don't get a cough as such with high PG, but I do find it dries the inside my nasal passages.

After reading the posts on the FT forum, I think I might be the only one that hasn't had a problem with the 3.1 version.
Mind you, if you read VB's Facebook page you only see dozens of complaints about lack of deliveries, refunds etc.
Just keep your fingers crossed.

It'll be my first rba cl0wn - so let's hope so Truth is, no one knows what the quality will be until they arrive, so it's a bit of a risk - but I figured they were bargainous enough to take the chance. Plus there will be plenty of people to help is set them up on here (I hope!). I am pretty sure that these are the same ones that Fasttech were selling, only the Vaporbreak ones dont have the logo on them . Not the same as the FT ones. They were 3.1 copy. (I've got one and it's great) This is the Lite copy including the new Lite airflow control.

Bagged a shineee one. Already have a satin KFL and can always hit it with the 2000 emery paper.

The airflow screw is typically a loose fit. I put a tiny bit of PTFE tape round it and now it seems fine. I don't see how the airflow adjuster could fall into the body, it seems to come up against a stop. I have played with the airflow and the adjuster works perfectly. I like it loose so it's just opened up fully.
No dry hits and I'm currently running below the sight tube.

I've used Bastos wick quite a bit and never had any problems. The only thing I've ever had with ceramic cups is that if you don't really wash them they can taste odd.
Did you boil and dry the wick before using it? I know lots of people flame wick material but I much prefer boiling as it doesn't tighten the filaments.

Wish I could find a voltmeter to add to my DIY wire welder. Must admit that looks very neat.

Well it arrived yesterday after the longest FT wait I have ever had to endure. KF 3.1 clone. Was it worth it? You bet it was!Simply blown away. Far better than I expected. The quality is better than anything I have seen previously from FT. Threading, build quality, vape, I find it hard to knock it in any way. It even filled through the fill hole first time and after 24 hours no leaks. Cotton wool wick at 1.8ohms and cant tell the difference in vape to my KFL. If I'm being ultra picky the air flow adjuster screw is slightly loose, but a tiny bit of plumbers PTFE tape cured this. For the money the Rocket is good, very good. For the money the Fasttech KF 3.1 isn't good, It's outstanding!
