Interesting - I find I don't need to bring the wick down the vertical channels but I did try it with too little cotton and, yup, half way down and the biggest leak I've seen (I'd never put a Squape on a hybrid). Saying that, I notice you, fiddles have the wick a little below the horizontal channel but wide on the vertical. This is how I do mine (forgive the orientation, rushing) Looks like we have two viable paths.

I'm all for safety and the more I learn the better - informed choice -is better than either no choice or unfounded assumptions every time. It does, however, occur to me that the whole `breathing it into our lungs thing` is superfluous, which further mitigates risk. I've used my awareness of this to consciously hold the vapour in my mouth and throat, rather than inhaling (obviously some will be regardless). Thoughts?

I take my wire-cutters and put four diagonal cuts (one for each quadrant) and clip the wire into one of those. However, do not follow my path and when you can't locate wire-cutters on the chaos of my desk, reach for your Flush Cutters of Great Usefulness and try and make the slot... for they shatter most frighteningly and one jaw will fly off with speed. Tom (waiting for FT order containing Flush Cutters of Great Usefulness *2)

You see... I logged in this morning and saw that someone had written "There's not a link to this is there? (strange import monopoly law being bypassed?)" above my link... Then I thought "Huh?" - but I put a link in there - can't these people read (actually, my thoughts were much gentler). Then realised my question wasn't worded as rhetorical, the person I was thinking of was me, and that I used "quote" to encapsulate some text for the article and hid a link under it. This appealed to my sense of humour.

Suggest 12mg /ml (1.2%) as a strength. No idea what flavour to suggest - if you can, visit a B&M shop ( this link is the AAEC B&M map list) and try flavours - or order four or five 5ml sample bottles from, say, vape-escape (See Super-Shiny 's post) along with a mini-protank 3 or two and perhaps an Innokin EP (the kit also contains a couple of clearo's) I took the Grizwald's sampler option (bought quite a few whilst I established what I wanted early on (loved Black Cat)) and how my tastes developed... If you go to the VE Jason 's website and look at normal bottle sizes, you will find descriptions of each (you will now spend a happy if confused sixty minutes choosing) The Mini-Protank 3 is a dual coil and, I think, more likely to create clouds (could be wrong - reckon it won't matter to you after a week or two) - I suggest a couple so you can easily try different flavours. The thing about those big mods, btw, is that people think you've either got a Sonic Screwdriver or Light Sabre - which is wrong because one opens locks with ease and the other is great for removing hands and cauterising at the same time (wrong because it doesn't work - trust me on that). However, in a dark alley with lurkers, give me an SVD in one hand and a VTR in the other and I will feel just a little more secure).

That's disappointing. Make absolutely sure that you've got the horizontal juice channel completely packed... More completely than you may think. This is how I solved my ft one. Still awaiting this one.

You can buy VG e-liquid from TrueVape (focus on Tobacco flavours, with exceptions) Pure Vape (wider non-tobacco selection) VVapour have a mix-your-own type deal where you can specify ratio down to zero Don't forget Cloud 9 Vaping, who stock the Johnson Creek range (most of which, I think, you can buy in VG and PG).... Interestingly, Pure Vape sell in quantities up to 1 litre. If you (or someone else) can find VG (or alcohol?) concentrates suitable for mixing eliquids then the easiest path is to mix your own - Vapers Emporium sell Aqueous VG (AG) Nicotine Base. If you can't find VG concetrates, I reckon you can pull the PG ratio below 20%. Perhaps, if mixing is viable, reach out to the folks at Leisure Liquids or Chefs Vapour for advice. Can't think of other paths off the top of my head...

It's quite normal, I think, to be utterly bewildered at the start of vaping - so many variables, so much choice and oh my, so much information.
I ended up writing a long `help` email on UKV entitled "Bewildered of Berkshire" where I was given specific advice and acted upon it - eight months in and I'm a vaping evangelist with agitator tendancies and a very bad case of shinyitus and am in remission following a Fasttech Porn Addiction. Key bit of advice: have two of everything for when something goes wrong (at least start with two batteries and two clearo's / tanks: plenty of good online stores - myepack as above and vape escape are where I started - both incredibly professional - take note of the discount thread). Visit a dedicated vaping shop and try flavours (spend some money there - we need them to survive, although most of us will leave the B&M's to thrive on our recommendations and we tend to go online).
Suggest you get a couple of batteries (with 510 connectors) between 650 mAh and 1100 mAh A couple of tanks (protank 3 is good, as are the mid-range Innokins) A couple of tobacco juices (strength dependant upon tank type and how much you smoke today). Expect to spend between £30 and £50 as an initial outlay, including juice. Expect to go off the tobacco flavours for a while when your tastebuds return...
Hey - tell us more about what you want and we'll probably be a little more specific.... Either way, you're in a good place with friendly and helpful people. And be welcome.

a couple of strips of a Marigold glove - nowt grips quite like it and every vaper should have one. Worst case you're going to use the rubber (layers are your friend) to clasp with big bog-off pliers or pipe wrenches.... But that's an absolute worst case (ignoring the angle grinder option) Once you've freed the beastie, clean the threads to the point where they can't be cleaned no more - it's gunk, grit, oxides and grime that's causing it to stick (and ads to electrical resistance). Noalox is pretty good although I hear groans about it being hard to remove. I have some but found the cleaning path better - although it's fair to say that the lock ring on my copper nemisis clone was a real pain (spin smoothly to unlocked and it would jam...) - the solution was to drop the nemesis against a hard concrete patio and bit of a brick which had a knurling effect meaning it's not stuck since (nor is the switch flat straight, mind you)... Good luck

So... Peach and Raspberry Melba - tick Fairy Blood (with other flavouring makes) - tick Custard Lovechild (58pg / 42vg) - tick Strawberry and Cream (substitued FA Cookie with Sugar Cookie and then added FA Biscotti Cookie at 5%) - tick all at 12mg/ml, all 10ml So... I now have 8 bottles at various stages of steeping... Progress is being made - learning is happening.

My pleasure, Sir. I'm of the opinion that Antivirus / Internet Security software doesn't quite have the same definition of Malicious as I do. So I always run secondary checks on an occasional (at least monthly) basis using Malwarebytes (it's not the only one that's good, btw, Spybot Search And Destroy is also) I've noticed since moving to a Webroot / Windows Firewall solution (From Kaspersky and then BitDefender) that Malwarebytes picks up much less to deal with. And Webroot is absurdly lean (less resource load = faster system). Incidentally, with almost all Internet Security software, look for out of date versions - you can save yourself upto (my best) three quarters of the purchase price of the equivalent latest varient and then upgrade for free. Happy to help folks either by pm or through the forum threads (tag me) on this techie stuff. Right - concentrates have arrived and I've had enough brushes with stinging nettles so A Mixing I Shall Go (sings happily)
