Thanks jtc. I would really like to get to grips with the information that Steam Engine is providing but there doesn't appear to be an easy guide to understanding it which makes it useless to me at the moment.

Can anyone explain what I'm looking at in Steam Engine when I input the details of my build to try and get the correct TCR setting for 316L Stainless Steel. I've seen a post that says the correct TCR setting is 92 on an Evic Mini but this seems to be the same for 316 as well as 316L, but I don't see this number or anything like it when I load the details in to Steam Engine. So what do I need to look at/calculate to get the right setting for my build? Can anyone give me the idiots guide to the settings in my screen grab please.

I'm using 316L Stainless Steel 24AWG in an Aeolus Lite. On an Evic Mini with its standard SS profile it's been working fantastically in TC mode.

Bad atty and bad connection has caused your issue. Always re tighten you post screws once you've bedded your coils in, they some times come loose with the heat of glowing them without wicks or juice.

Innokin Endura range gets good reviews and will be a good cheap set up for newer vapers or those that don't want anything complicated.

I have to say that in my experience FT have always been pretty good with returns. I had a Hotcig made Hana clone mod crap out on me after a couple of months of use and they took it back and replaced it no problems.

For kindness to coils try Stash E Liquids......some of the cleanest coils after a few tanks that it have used.
I used to vape Various juices from Zeus Juice, lovely taste but can gunk up a coil really quickly. Not really a problem if you are a rebuilder tho you just dry burn and re-wick.

Sony VTC5 have a continuous discharge of 30amps No they don't. As tested by Mooch on ECR. There are no 30A continuous discharge batteries. Some are safer than others when they exceed their specs and can be used at higher amp limits but you risk damaging the battery or reducing it's life if you do it a lot. In a regulated mod your safe using Samsung 30q's or the LG HG2 both at 3000 mah, might get you a bit more vape time. I use 30 Q's in an Evic Mini and an iPV D2 with no issues, they are a decent battery. Sony VTC5 are good batteries as are LG HE4's and the Samsung 25r's. Your not going to overstress a decent battery as listed in any of the mods you listed as long as you start with something decent in the first place. VTC4’s handle the higher amp requirements of some builds up to 30amps. Having used 30q's VTC5 LE4’s in regulated mods including and rDNA40 for quite a while now all I can say is The difference between all the batteries is quite minimal. You only need to worry about amp limits if you are using mechanical/unregulated mods or regulated mods that will do very high wattage. I recommend you check out Mooch on the Electronic Cigarette Forum for details of some real battery testing and the opinion of someone who tests batteries for a living.

Torchy or Ecolux........just in case the message hasn't sunk in..... I've used both and most importantly they can be trusted to give you decent batteries. Batteries aren't expensive, don't go cheap for the sake of a few quid off.

tonyb You aren't on the UKV list, they are both the same. You burped on the thread and Jessica asked for a translation. I will add you on here and ask Jess to add you on hers too. Correct, and Thank you.....

I've just got a JPL 7000 from Maplins for £30.
If your unit is under a year old take it back. AFAIK all electrical appliances are supposed to be guaranteed for 2 years. If you are dealing with one of the big retailers you mentioned they should change it.

I went fancy on my Velocity clone - Fused Clapton 2x26AWG Anarchist wire wrapped with 34AWG NiCrome80. Dual coils came out to 0.14 so run it on a parallel box mod. It's a beast. More coil will give you more vapour and flavour. Try twisting some 30AWG Ni200 on a 3mm ID for dual coils if you want to go temp control.
