but that's got to be a good thing...right? just delving into the vape world, been trying to do loads of research and feel ready for the plunge. I am still on the smokes, but have used a cheap disposable cart from supermarket, and realise thats not comparable so want to get a proper kit set up. Would really like a mech mod and learn how to rebuild...so any advice on either useful, but the main mystery for me at this point is the array of juices and venders...any good decent cheapish vendors recommended ? TIA Bunglebear

Welcome bunglebear - you've made some good decisions, firstly to try vaping, and second to find your way here Mech mods are great, but you may be better starting with some bits that you can just start up and vape. Mech mods can require a little fiddling, and RBAs need some tinkering to get right. Not to put you off, they're definitely a place to head, but I wonder if you would be best going for something like a vamo and some iclear 30s tanks to start with should you not want to start with the usual ego battery, just because they are great kit that work with little to no maintenance. That way you'll always have something to fall back on, it will cut down any frustration you find when starting rebuilding coils and you will have the right batteries and chargers for mech mods when you want them. For a vamo kit, how about this: myepack.co.uk/mods/vamo-v5-full-kit-ss.html Good mod, great charger and batteries, and a choice of clearo. You can supplement this with extra clearos, batteries and spare coils if you have the funds. You can then leisurely shop at www.fasttech.com in china for your ideal mech mod and rba without worrying about the wait for the slowboat (it'll take a while to arrive)! For juice, lots of options - see this recent beginners thread for some good suggestions: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/33914/hello-people

I agree with ionian - mech mods are best left until you have some experience with kit which solves some of the problems for you. That vamo kit is probably as good a deal as you'll get without waiting 3 weeks for delivery from China. If you decide to go for it then I wouldn't get an iclear, which is way too much hassle to rebuild. Normally we suggest that people start with ego-type batteries, which a lot of us users of vamos & such also have for out & about because the vamo is a big heavy thing to cart around & tends to incite comment from the uninitiated. You could get a variable volt spinner - something like this, goes nicely with an evod or mini protank. The main disadvantage compared to the vamo if you plan to rebuild is that the spinner won't tell you the resistance of the coil you've built, so you'd also need a multimeter. I mix my own juices, so the only intelligent thing I have to say about buying them is to try several. Tastes you wouldn't dream of smoking can make a great vape.

Hey up Bungle, fellow newb here and kind of the same situation except I've got a mod already and been mixing juice lol, still not quite off the cigs but working on it.
Half the battle I think is finding the right juice to vape, flavour, strength and throat hit etc.

Welcome Bungle...becoming a vaper is a great decision to start the New Year. I personally dont know much about the mech mods but I do know that you won't go wrong with a spinner or twist ( vv) to start your journey of becoming a non smoker. Not too big and cumbersome, does the job, you just need to find the right juice for your taste...good luck

Hello bunglebear welcome aboard and you will find all the help you need in here as I did (still do) just remember you have to learn to walk before you can run so take your time and as above said do some research and do not be afraid to ask anything.
