Hi, I was like you. I enjoyed smoking and had no intention of giving up but I realised that I was smoking more and more as time went on. I was up to an ounce a day (about 50 rollies) and only wanted to cut down. My first ecig was a disposable from Tescos and from the time I bought it until bedtime I had only smoked 5 real cigs. The following morning the battery died about midday so it was back into town to buy a "real" ecig. It was a cigalike with 5 carts. Over the next few days I was down to 5 rollys a day but on the 5th day I was shooting at our archery club and about 8pm lit a ciggy. As I took my first drag I realised that this was only my 2nd cig of the day. I didn't need them any more and I haven't smoked since then, 10 months ago. As others have said, don't worry about the odd smoke, if you find a setup that suits you then you'll make the switch to ecigs without thinking about it. Phil

Hi, How about painting a few stripes, top to bottom, and putting a drop of super glue between the stripes? Phil

Hi, What about the stuff they sell to repair the heated rear screen on cars. It's like a thick silver paint that dries hard. Phil I saw that searching this morning, was wondering how thick you can paint it on. My concerns were whether it will stick to stainless steel or not. Hi, It sticks to glass as long as it's clean so it should stick to ss. Phil

Hi, I bought my first ecig (disposable) on a Friday about midday. It looked so big compared to my rollys that I waited until I got home before trying it. From then until bedtime I only smoked 5 cigs and used the ecig in between. This was a huge step down from my 40 a day habit. The following day I was back in town buying a starter kit and some extra carts. By the time the battery was charged I had already smoked about 10 but only lit another 5 once I could use the ecig. Sunday, 5cigs, Monday 3 cigs. At about 8pm on the Tuesday I lit my second cig of the day and when I was half way through it realised that I didn't need them any more. That was 8 months ago and I haven't had a smoke since.
What I'm trying to say is don't worry if you can't make the switch in one go don't worry about it. If you feel like a smoke then go ahead. Do it in your own time, it will happen if you want it to. Phil

Hi, I wouldn't worry about solder or any green stains. If you've ever done any plumbing work, especially on older buildings, you would know that solder and verdigras (spelling) is part and parcel of just about every drinking water system in the world. I know that we don't normally heat the water so that it vapourises but we do boil it for tea, coffee etc. with no ill effects. Vaping is safer than smoking and no matter what these dubious studies come out with I for one will fight my corner. Phil

Hi, Customs seem to make up the rules as they go along. My neighbour logged on to ebay.com instead of ebay.uk by mistake and bought an ice shaver (similar to slush) for about £10 with a fiver postage. When it was delivered the postie wanted £35 because the customs had opened the parcel to see what it was. Phil

Hi, Leave the cig-a-likes as ecigs but how about Steam Machine or Steamer for anything bigger and better. Phil

Hi, I use Silver Spoon peppermint (from Sainsburys) and add a few drops to every menthol juice I buy. It seems to improve them all. Phil

Hi, Great news, glad she's better. I had something similar at the 5 month mark. Just after last Christmas I started getting pains in or around my left lung. My doc is semi retired and it was the first week of Feb before I could get an appointment. He checked me over and sent me for an Xray and gave me a course of antibiotics. Again it was the first week of april before I could get to see him and he told me that I had been suffering from pneumonia for the last 2 months. Another dose of antis and Xray with a phone call a week later for me to collect another prescription.
The pain is now gone as has most of the congestion but it has left me with no strength and a severe shortage of breath. I guess I'm just lucky that it was caught when it was. Phil

Hi, My first vape was a look a like disposable from Tesco. I had been smoking rollys for years and this thing felt like a drainpipe in my hand. It felt so strange that I waited until I got home before trying it. If the only ecig available had been the 510 setup with the 1000mah battery that I use now there is no way I would have given them a second glance. Look a likes are meant to tempt smokers with something that looks similar to what they are already doing and until the last person in the world makes the switch there will always be a market for them. E pipe

Hi, Thanks guys, you've given me an idea. I have got plans and instructions to make a real pipe. I could do that and drill the stem to fit my 510 setup. A few brown crystals glued into the bowl would complete the look. Phil

E pipe

Hi, I have been vaping for over 7 months now and am quite interested in giving an epipe a go. Yes I'm nearly 63 and can be a grumpy old man but I do have my moments when I make everyone laugh. My son has said that if I can find one at a reasonable price he will buy one for my birthday. Please bear in mind that he is unable to work due to a damaged spine and money, for the two of us, is in short supply. Any suggestions? Thanks, Phil
