Patience.
I made the switch to vaping last July and as I had always smoked menthol tobacco I went straight to menthol juice. Like everyone else I had the new toy syndrome and over the next month or two bought quite a few flavours but the only one I could taste was the menthol. I did get the occasional hint of something but nothing like it should be. I kept trying the other flavours as I was getting plenty of vapor and nicotine and I was determined not to waste them.
Then it happened.
One night in last October I was driving to the archery club at about 7pm, over a couple of miles of unlit common it was pitch dark. I picked up an ecig from the passenger seat and took a long slow drag.
OMG what was that. I took several more until I reached the next village and pulled up under a street light. I took another very long drag, closed my eyes, slumped back in my seat loving every second of it. I could taste strawberry and vanilla. I stayed there with a silly grin on my face for another 5 mins or so and then realised I had to get to the club as I am the keyholder.
Over the next couple of weeks I tried loads more flavours and apart from a few I could taste them all.
I can only put it down to my tastebuds having to readjust after nearly 50yrs of 40 a day smoking.
I still use menthol as my main vape but now vaping the others is not a waste of time.
Keep at it, one day youre tastebuds will get the kick they need and you won't know what to try next.

Any follow up?
I sent his office an email when I heard the he was doubtful about quitting long term. I suggested that he did some research about ecigs and I did get a reply that the message would be passed on to him.

Don't forget these things take ages to charge. I usually start mine charging about teatime and it's ready for use by the next morning.

Hi,
Yes I get the peppemint from the supermarket and I add it to the completed mix. I add about 10 drops to 30ml but as the peppermint is very thin and runny it is difficult to be accurate.

Hi,
I'm using a 1000mah 510 battery that can be turned on or off with 5 clicks of the button.
Does anyone know if it is better to have the battery on or off while charging? Will it charge if off?

Hi,
Something I found out is that if I add a few drops of Silver Spoon Peppermint food flavouring it improves just about any menthol juice.

Hi,
Just after Christmas I started to get very phlegmy and by the end of Jan had to go to the doc. He did a quick check and told me my chest was clear even though I had a coughing fit while he was testing me. He sent me for a chest Xray on 4th Feb but I am still waiting to see him about the results ( Bl@@dy receptionists) The worrying part is that I got another letter from the hospital asking me to go for another Xray.
I finished the course of antibiotics but the phlegm has come back and I wake up every morning needing to clear my chest but the first few coughs are agony ang I have to give myself a very tight bearhug to stop the pain. It takes me a couple of hours of coughing and spitting to clear everything but if I spend all day in front of the TV or on the laptop my chest is full again by teatime and I have another hour of coughing to clear it.
I have an appointment with my doc on 6th march with an Xray straight after. I'll get back with any news asap.

Hi,
When I smoked I stuck to menthol and stayed with it when I made the switch so can't comment on tobacco flavours BUT the 5 day mark was when I realised I didn't need the stinkies any more. Keep it up and you'll reach the six month mark before you know it.

Hi,
I buy 24mg PG juice in 15 ml bottles and dilute it 50/50 with supermarket VG. Because I only vape menthol I add about 10 drops of supermarket peppermint flavouring.
Doing it this way doubles my juice from 15 to 30ml and cuts the nicotine down to 12mg. The peppermint adds flavour and dilutes the mix so that it is right for vaping.

Hi,
I bought some Boge 510 Low Resistance Cartomisers as advised on ECF and have today got round to trying them. They get very hot, hot enought to burn my lips. They work with plenty of taste and vapour but if I take more than 4 or 5 drags they get too hot to touch. All 5 are the same.
Has anyone else found this with these cartos? Is the batch I got faulty or do I just need to slow down on my rate of vaping?
