Thats very interesting, one positive thing about such big tobacco companies taking an interest, is that their money may help develop better and better e cigs?
A downside is that it is more likely that e liquid etc may face being taxed, like cigarettes are.

"You're smoking" of course i can never be sure if he was referring to the clouds of vapour coming from my 510, or me i choose to believe the latter, but the likelihood is it was my 510

So this will be the thread where I will post any news regarding product updates etc. To start things off, E Liquid Labs has just introduced 4 new ready made e liquid flavors, soon to be available as flavour concentrates also. All new varieties as usual are Made In The UK, using pharma grade ingredients. The e liquid base is PG, with a dash of aqueous glycerine (VG & distilled water) for a smooth vape providing a good throat hit and visible vapour. So the new varieties are in the following categories... Tobacco Flavoured E LiquidGolden Leaves E Liquid - Tastes very similar to Golden Virginia rolling tobaccoGolden Leaves e liquid (like Golden Virginia) is available in no nicotine, low strength(8mg, 0.8%), medium strength(18mg,1.8%), high strength(24mg, 2.4%) and ultra high strength (36mg, 3.6%) Cigarette Flavoured E LiquidRed & White E Liquid - Tastes very similar to Marlboro cigarettesRed & White e liquid (like Marlboro) is available in no nicotine, low strength(8mg, 0.8%), medium strength(18mg,1.8%), high strength(24mg, 2.4%) and ultra high strength (36mg, 3.6%) Gold Pack E Liquid - Tastes very similar to Benson and Hedges cigarettesGold Pack e liquid (like Benson and Hedges) is available in no nicotine, low strength(8mg, 0.8%), medium strength(18mg,1.8%), high strength(24mg, 2.4%) and ultra high strength (36mg, 3.6%) Silver Pack E Liquid - Tastes very similar to Lambert and Butler cigarettesSilver Pack e liquid (like Lambert and Butler) is available in no nicotine, low strength(8mg, 0.8%), medium strength(18mg,1.8%), high strength(24mg, 2.4%) and ultra high strength (36mg, 3.6%) All are available in 10ml (£4.50), 30ml (£8.95) and 100ml (£24.95) I will update the thread when these flavours are available as concentrates for DIY in the DIY E Liquid supplies section and for DIY E Liquid Kits.

I was thinking how useful that would be for recharging e cigs when out and about, the other day. I have a mobile phone solar charger, its about the size of a wallet, it has lots of connections including a usb one, so i might try it, see if it works on my e cig batteries. You can buy hand bags/ rucksacks, with solar plates on them for if you are out walking. They have a bit more power as the panels are bigger. Perhaps a hat with solar panels on it? As long as you dont mind a few funny looks

You are alot less likely to inadvertently spark up whilst asleep, drop a burning fag on your duvet and fry in your bed.

I dont know about the specific e cig version you have, but i do know that I used to get through alot of atomisers on my ecig until I started cleaning stuff.
For example the connections that screw together should be cleaned at each recharge, using a pointy bit of kitchen roll. The attie can be cleaned in deionised/distilled water then dried, blow through everything as well, blow out any bits that may get lodged.
If you ever use an opaque/dark colored e liquid, these can be quite harsh on atomisers, but you can always clean out an attie after a dark e liquid.
When I think of all the atties i replaced when i probably just needed to give them a decent clean...agh
I dont even know if the attie in a cartomiser can be accessed for cleaning? I expect some of the folk here with carties will know that though...i would also like to know that actually.

I always take out 4 spare batteries and e liquid. I have a little make up bag that goes in my handbag, they go in that.
However if I am not taking a handbag, I have a mobile phone case that I either wear on a belt or attach a long strap too, to put round my neck, that depends if i am wearing something with a belt or not. I can usually fit my mobile in as well, although I read recently that you shouldnt keep mobile phones by your e cig.

The part of that fda article that states that kids may be attracted by e cigs and that that may lead onto using tobacco products, makes my blood boil. Its such crazy talk.
Has anyone heard of a non smoker who decided to try an ecig? And what about kids..I mean are kids wanting to try e cigs? I would like to see if any studies or surveys have been done.
I mean it would definitely not be great if non smoking kids thought that e cigs were cool and so became dependant on nicotine...but do you think they would? I dont think they would, but I dunno...it just seems like a way for the fda to paint e cigs in a bad light, with no basis for suggesting such a thing.

I had never considered the possibility of fire from an e cig, as mine have always been either auto or a manual button..i guess the button could get wedged on..never tried that to see what happens...but anyway..glad all was well in the end and no serious harm done..although the burnt hand sounds painful :-[
I thought that one of the benefits of e cigs was reduced fire hazard. When i was a smoker i did occasionally fall asleept with a burning cig and nearly fry in my bed. I think that is not uncommon..a St Ives artists Barbara Hepworth did just that, it gave me nightmares when i read of it.

I had actually quit smoking, went to the GP and got nicotine gum etc. But I was really struggling, I was constantly hungry and knew i was just putting on weight. Also workwise I was less able to concentrate.
Then one day my brothers friend had an e cig that he gave me a drag on. It was so satisfying so i bought one same as his. I actually went on to lose two stone in weight after that. Its been two years now and I dont feel the need to quit nicotine, because from what I have read, it is not the stuff in tobacco that causes the health problems anyway. Also moneywise i can afford to vape, i couldnt afford to smoke as much as i wanted.

Some people dont know the difference between smoking a cig and smoking an ecig, in fact the majority assume its the same thing.
It reminded me of many years ago when i went to India with my BF at that time. I was standing on a balcony of a hotel having a cigarette and someone passing shouted up at me "Do you realise that smoking is a sign of bad character"
Jeez! It obviously made me feel bad as I still remember it to this day. In retrospect I always wished I had shouted back "Do you realise that shouting at strangers is a sign of bad character"...but i didnt think of it in time...i was too embarassed and never smoked in public in india again after that.

You sound just like my brother, he also builds his own computers and also is really into the flight simulation!
I cant really advise.... other than to say that my bro, well he also has an xbox and loves it, but that said whenever he is doing the flight simulation, that he does on his PC. He only uses the xbox for online war games and stuff.
