Is that a replacement fo the actual wicks or just the flavour wicks that go over the top of the coil ?

Hi all,
I've been on the rebuild part of the forum and it's a different language. I just want to know what to buy to rebuild a kanger T3 base (I've watched some videos about how to rebuild them but the wicks seem to be odd).
I'm wary of getting something that is only specific to those bases because I suspect I like vaping so much I may buy something more advanced eventually. I also wonder about how good cotton wicks are. But asking on the rebuild forums seems a little, lets say, noobish...
On my shopping list I have : A-1 32 Kanthal wire 2mm Silica wick (I'm dubious about silica, so any suggestions that would replace that would be appreciated) Some cotton buds from boots to roll into flavour wicks
I also have a leccy's resistance meter, but I'm not sure how to take meter readings on the coils. I only use the meter for testing that the electrics on a house are safe, not the low resistance on a PV device.
Is this all I need ?
Any advice happily accepted.

You are right I probably used the wrong choice of words These people want to quit but have used cig-a-likes and think that , that is e-cigs So are not prepared to try any more as have had a negative experience I got these words a few days/weeks ago from a fellow AAEC member when asking why my wife refused to try vaping... "There's no prude like a reformed whore" You can't force people to follow you. I stopped lecturing my wife and she picked up vaping a few days after I stopped doing it. She's now doing really well, but I don't get involved in her adventure unless she asks me.

Thank you Figgis, it's definitely working for me so far. When the kit arrived this morning I had just rolled a smoke and had a few drags. It's still in the ashtray and I haven't touched it or any other smokes all day. So far vaping is satisfying my cravings. May it long continue. It's great is vaping. Not for everyone and there will be bumps in the road which you do have to ride out (I still after a month have some cravings for a tab after a few beers). But what amazes me is how the flavours work. I'm sat here watching a film, having had a 4-pack of beers and I'm vaping Egg-Custard Tart ! I used to be out at every advert break whilst watching a film and have a rollie, now I'm vaping Egg-Custard Tart ! I really hope it does the same for you mate. Every person on this forum has been through the same thing and it makes this place fantastic.

MillerKev... This is so true. I have stuff that I like, but I actually want it to run out so I can use the next one I've tried on my drip atomizer. I'd love to make my own juice but how can I when I have so many juices staring at me, all nicely steeped and just saying... Vape me ? I just convinced myself that my all day vape (Bounty) was no good, so I could try Egg Custard Tart. This cannot be right. I have to stop buying juice

1 month as of yesterday ! That has gone very quick.
I've now got 2 ego Twists, my trusty cartos and even some Kanger T3s [and a shed load of liquids].
I'm fairly happy with my set up now, it's starting to settle down from vaping constantly to just being a normal part of the day.

.....and rinse all parts off, then put all parts in the vodka except the base.... Is it not wise to put the bases in vodka or water ? I thought they could be stood in vodka overnight

Ragmo makes a good point above. There are a lot of Peppermint/Extra Stong mint juices about which would be just as effective without the bad associations that you have with pure Menthol flavours. I actually don't order 'pure' Menthols myself, but I always have some Mint type flavour about - one other good thing about it is you can add it to a juice you don't particularly like and use it up rather than just bin it and as for the day I found out how good it tastes mixed with Coconut flavours, well, let's just say that was a happy vaping day

Another satisfied customer here.
I'm ordering from a lot of vendors at the moment to try and find 'the one', but again great delivery from Alchemist's another good vendor in my opinion.
[The juice I've got smells fantastic. Tried a few drips of Egg Custard Tart (how is it possible to taste so like the real thing ?) and Rhubarb Crumble before they get put in the larder to steep away for the required 7 days.]

Ack. That sounds awful Phoenix.
I have to say that I had a very nasty hacking cough for a while when I 1st started - mainly the 2nd week - which I remember posting a similar worried post about on here and it's now passed completely. It got so bad I couldn't sleep due to a tickly cough every 15 minutes and nothing shifted it.
I suspect time, plus a swig of water after a vaping session definitely helps for most people.

I didn't like menthol ciggies and I don't vape menthol now BUT it was menthol e-juice that really helped me in the beginning to get off the ciggies My aversion to Menthol comes from a night of over indulgence of Whisky and Menthol Cigs when I was a teenager. You can guess the rest and I've not been near either since. Ahhh... my advice may be superfluous then Anyway, worth considering. Let us know how you get on.

Hi MrMshaw and welcome.
Romelee gives good advice on the HS Storm, a very strong flavour that my missus is currently starting out on. (I've tried it and it certainly has a ciggie like feel to it, which might be ideal for the first try at vaping as it's very strong).
My advice for any newbie is to buy at least one Menthol flavour. It doesn't matter which one to be honest, but when you first start a Menthol is brilliant at cutting through any deadened taste buds so you can actually sense the vape. You probably know after you reading that taste gets knackered from smoking and at first a lot of flavours do taste of nothing much so a good strong Menthol is ideal to cut through it all.
All the best and good luck on your vaping !

Good vendor, first time I've ordered from them.
Placed my order, had some queries about the website which were promptly dealt with and got good prices (even though I made a mistake with the offers available) and a prompt delivery.

Well I've just got myself an order for bottom coil kangers so we can always swap them if it doesn't work out
